About me
I currently work at NEC Labs America as a Research Staff Member. I obtained my Ph.D. from University of Missouri in Electrical and Computer Engineering in year 2012. At the same time, I obtained my MA. degree in Statistics from University of Missouri. I was working in the Computer Vision Lab under the supervision of Prof. Tony X. Han. I did one intern at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center and two at NEC Labs America. Before joining University of Missouri, I was a RA in department of Electrical Engineering and Information Science in University of Science and Technology of China from year 2006 to 2008. I was leading the R&D of the wireless video surveillance system at a startup company KWE-CREARO from year 2005 to 2008. I received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Information Science from University of Science and Technology of China in 2006.
Research Interest
Computer vision with specific interests in large scale image/video search and object detection; machine learning with specific interests in sparse representation, multiple instance learning and transfered learning.
